Beverly D'Angelo

 D'Angelo was an Columbus, Ohio native, the daughter of Priscilla Smith (nee Smith), a violinist and Eugene Constantino Gene "Gene" D'Angelo (bass player, television station manager for WBNS-TV Columbus). Her father was Italian. Her maternal grandparents, Eugenio and Rosina D'Angelo were from Introdacqua located in the Abruzzo region of Italy. She is the mother of Jeff, Tim, and Tony. Their maternal grandfather, Howard Dwight Smith, was an architect who developed Ohio Stadium, nicknamed "the Horseshoe" at Ohio State University. D'Angelo was a student at Upper Arlington High School located in Upper Arlington, Ohio, located in the northwest Columbus suburb. In 2009, she received the Upper Arlington Alumni Association (UAAA) The Distinguished Alumnus award for accomplishments in her professional career. D'Angelo was an illustrator for Hanna-Barbera Studios and as a singer prior to taking an interest in acting. When she was living in Canada, she was an American-born backup singer in rockabilly singer Rompin' Ronnie Hawkins' group The Hawks. They came together to form The Band, which is now a legend.
