Jennifer Garner
Jennifer Anne Garner, born April 17, 1972 is an American actress. Garner was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Charleston. She studied theater at Denison University before beginning acting understudy at the Roundabout Theatre Company, New York City. Her screen debut was in the television adaptation of Danielle Steel's novella romance Zoya in the year 1995. The roles she played on television included supporting and guest film roles as also a character in Time of Your Life (1999-2000) as well as Pearl Harbor (2001). Garner is most famous for her role as Sydney Bristow, CIA officer, in ABC's spy-action thriller television show Alias (2001 until 2006). For her work on the show, she was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Actress - Television Series Drama and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress in a Television Drama, in addition to four consecutive nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Leading Actress in the Drama Series. Her performance in 13 Going on 30 (2004) was praised, and she went on to be the character Elektra in the films about superheroes, Daredevil 2003 and Elektra 2005. Her commercial successes continued when she appeared in Juno (2007) as well as the romantic comedy Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2010).
